Porsche Macan Turbo 2016 with Bosch 7432: Worth the Upgrade?

Well, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout this here… what’s it called? Bosch 7432 Porsche Macan Turbo 2016, yeah, that’s the one. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But don’t you go gettin’ all flustered, it’s just a car, a right speedy one at that, or so they say.

Now, I ain’t no car expert, mind you. I seen more chickens than cars in my day. But I heard folks talkin’, and they say this here Macan, it ain’t no ordinary buggy. It gulps gas like a thirsty hog, they say. Something ’bout 6 miles to the gallon, maybe a hair more if you’re lucky. Imagine that! Back in my day, a horse and buggy got ya further on a bale of hay.

But this here Macan, it’s got some pep, they tell me. Somethin’ called a “twin-turbo V6 engine,” sounds like a whole lotta noise to me. • They say it’s got somethin’ like 434 horses under the hood. Now, I ain’t never seen a horse that small, but I guess it’s just their way of sayin’ it’s mighty strong.

• And the new Macan GTS, well, that’s the king of the hill, they say. Even more horses, somethin’ like 440 of ’em. And more of that “torque” stuff too, whatever that is.

Now, they also got these things called “upgrades.” Sounds like fixin’ somethin’ that ain’t broke to me, but what do I know? They got this “TR turbo upgrade” for the smaller engine, makes it even faster, I guess. And this “COBB” thing, they say it gives the car even more “potential.” Seems like folks are always tryin’ to make things go faster these days.

But here’s the kicker, this here fancy car, it needs a lot of lookin’ after. Oil changes all the time, brakes cost a fortune, and you gotta change these things called “rotors” every time you change the brakes. Sounds like a whole lotta fuss to me. Back in my day, you just fed the horse and greased the wheels, and that was that.

Now, some folks are thinkin’ ’bout buyin’ these Macans, even the older ones. They’re worried about if they’ll break down, though. And that’s a good question, I reckon. Anythin’ with that many parts is bound to have somethin’ go wrong, sooner or later. That’s just common sense, ain’t it?
