Well, I tell ya, this here computer stuff, it ain’t easy. My grandson, he’s always on about these newfangled things. Now he’s talkin’ ’bout Logitech rudder pedals and Windows 11. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? I just want to make sure those darn things will work together.
So, these Logitech rudder pedals, they’re like the foot pedals in a tractor, right? You use ’em to steer. But instead of a tractor, it’s for one of them flyin’ machines on the computer. My grandson, he loves them flight simulator games. He spends hour on end, and I need to make sure these things work before I buy one.
Now, this Windows 11, that’s the new thingamajig from Microsoft, ain’t it? Like when we got that new well pump a few years back. Everyone was sayin’ it was better, faster. But you still gotta make sure it fits with the pipes, you know? They will release it in October, and I just want to know if they can work together.
I heard some folks sayin’ they had trouble with somethin’ called “drivers.” Sounds like a fancy word for the fella drivin’ the tractor. But I reckon it’s somethin’ you gotta put in the computer to make things work. Like plantin’ seeds to grow corn. Gotta have the right seeds, or nothin’ will grow. So make sure you got the right “drivers”.
Some folks say you gotta go to that Logitech website and get the right drivers. Others say Windows will just find them drivers all by itself. I don’t know, sounds like a bunch of hocus pocus to me. But if that’s what it takes to make these rudder pedals work on Windows 11, then I guess that’s what you gotta do. I think the website is called “*”.
- First, you gotta plug them rudder pedals into the computer. There’s a little hole for it, called a USB, I think. Just like pluggin’ in the coffee pot.
- Then, you gotta get them “drivers.” Maybe from that Logitech website.
- Then, you gotta follow the instructions on the screen. Like readin’ a recipe. Hope it is not in other languages.
I heard one fella say he used some sticky tape, called Velcro. Said it worked like a charm to keep them rudder pedals from slidin’ around. Like puttin’ a rug under a chair so it don’t scratch the floor. That’s a good idea, I reckon. Might have to try that.
Another thing I heard, somethin’ about “Windows security.” Sounds like puttin’ a lock on the barn door to keep the critters out. But apparently, it can cause problems with them rudder pedals. Some folks are sayin’ you gotta turn it off, or maybe just turn it down a bit. I don’t know, sounds risky to me. Like leavin’ the barn door open. But if you gotta do it, you gotta do it, I guess. You need to make sure that the security thing is ok with the pedals.
And apparently, these rudder pedals work with most of them flyin’ games. But there’s one, somethin’ called “pmdg 737 800.” Sounds like a fancy airplane. Anyway, some folks are sayin’ the rudder pedals don’t work right with that one. So, if you’re playin’ that game, you might have some trouble. It is like when you use the wrong seeds and nothing will grow.
Now I heard some of these big companies like Logitech and also the Thrustmaster are working on these things. Trying to make sure it all works with Windows 11. I guess they need to make sure all the parts work together. Like making sure all your cows are in the right pasture. You will need to have a talk with these big companies about if it works.
These Logitech G Flight Sim rudder pedals, they sound pretty fancy. They let you control the plane with your feet, just like a real pilot. I guess that’s why my grandson wants ’em so bad. He wants to feel like he’s really flyin’. It’s like when I used to pretend I was drivin’ the tractor when I was a little girl. It’s all about the imagination, I reckon.
So, will these Logitech rudder pedals work with Windows 11? Well, I ain’t no computer expert. But from what I hear, it sounds like they should. You just gotta make sure you got the right “drivers,” and maybe fiddle with that “Windows security” a bit. And if you’re playin’ that “pmdg 737 800” game, you might have some trouble. But other than that, it seems like it should work. Just like plantin’ corn, you gotta do it right, or nothin’ will grow. Just make sure to ask those folks at Logitech if you’re really worried. They will know for sure.
Anyways, I hope this helps. It ain’t easy keepin’ up with all this new technology. But we gotta try, I guess. Otherwise, we’ll get left behind, like an old plow horse in a field of tractors. And remember to ask around before you buy one of those things.
