So, I’ve been on this quest, right? A quest to find games similar to Infinity Blade, which, if you haven’t heard, is this awesome game that used to be on iOS. It was the first game on the platform to use the Unreal Engine, and man, did it set the bar high for mobile game graphics. Sadly, they pulled it from the App Store in 2018 because they couldn’t keep up with updating it for new devices. Bummer, I know.
But that got me thinking, “There’s gotta be other games out there that give off the same vibe, right?” So I started digging. First thing I did was hit up the App Store on my iPhone. I looked at new releases, checked out the top charts, you name it. But nothing really screamed “Infinity Blade” to me. Then it hit me: I should expand my search. I remembered reading somewhere that there are like, 50 games similar to Infinity Blade, which sounded promising.
Dive into Games
I started looking into these games one by one. The first one I tried was Severed. It’s got this unique art style, kind of spooky, and you go through this world fighting weird monsters and solving puzzles. It’s not exactly like Infinity Blade, but it’s got that adventure feel. Then there was Eternium. If you’re into hack and slash games like Diablo, you’ll probably dig this one. It’s pretty clear that Diablo was a big inspiration for the developers.
Next up was Ronin: The Last Samurai. This game is all about samurai, but the art style is what really caught my eye. It’s like playing through an ink and wash painting. Pretty cool, huh? And then there’s Horn. This one also runs on the Unreal Engine, so visually it’s up there. It’s got a good story and some solid gameplay mechanics.
Found My Favorite
But the one that really reminded me of Infinity Blade was Stormblades. It’s available on Android, iOS, and Steam, and it’s so similar to Infinity Blade in so many ways. The influence is pretty obvious. It’s got that swipe-based combat system and the graphics are pretty slick. Also, I tried games like EPOCH 12 and 99 Dead Pirates and The Elder Scrolls Blades.
So yeah, that’s been my journey so far. It’s been a bit of a mixed bag, but I’ve found some gems along the way. It’s a shame that Infinity Blade is gone, but hey, at least we’ve got these other games to fill the void. And who knows what other awesome games are out there waiting to be discovered? The search continues, I guess!
