So, today I got to mess with the MS-01 drivers. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey, but I got it done. I’ll walk you through what I did, start to finish.
First things first, I needed to get the right drivers. Sounds simple, right? But you know how it is with these things. I dug around a bit and figured out that I needed drivers for Windows. I’m running Windows 10, 64-bit, just so you know. I also saw some stuff about Windows XP and 7, but that’s not my jam.
Once I knew what I was looking for, I hit up the manufacturer’s website. It took a little while to find the right page. I had to do a bit of clicking around, but I finally found the driver download section. Boom, there they were! I found the MS-01 drivers and downloaded the package. They were pretty recent, like from July 2023 or something, so that was cool.
Then came the fun part – the installation. I unpacked the drivers and got ready to roll. I wasn’t sure if I should install the RAID drivers because they looked up to date already. In the end, I skipped them since they seemed fine.
- I opened up the Device Manager. I just typed it into the search bar on the taskbar, easy peasy.
- Then I looked through the categories to find the device I needed to update.
- After that, I found the device, right-clicked, and chose to update the driver.
- I pointed it to where I unpacked the drivers and let it do its thing.
Honestly, it was pretty straightforward. The installer did most of the work. I just had to click through a few prompts, and we were golden. There were a couple of moments where I had to reboot, but nothing too crazy. After a couple of restarts, everything was up and running.
After everything was installed, I checked to make sure all the devices were showing up correctly in the Device Manager. No errors, no yellow triangles, all good in the hood! I did a quick test run to see if everything was working as it should. It was smooth sailing.
I also stumbled upon some info about setting up Intel AMT/Intel vPro™, or KVM, on the MS-01. I didn’t dive into that today, but it’s on my list for later. It looks like it could be useful, but I’ll save that for another day.
So yeah, that’s how I spent my day with the MS-01 drivers. It wasn’t too bad, and now my system is running even better. If you’re planning to do this yourself, just make sure you grab the right drivers and follow the steps. You should be good to go! Hope this little walkthrough of my experience helps you out. Catch you next time!
