So, I’ve been wanting to get my hands on this S.H. Figuarts Android 17 action figure for a while now. It’s from Dragon Ball, you know? I finally decided to pull the trigger and order it. I’ve heard that S.H. Figuarts, owned by Bandai, makes some really sick figures, and I wanted to see for myself.
I did some digging around, found a few places that sold it. Some sites called Aliexpress had it, also saw it on Amazon and Walmart. Even eBay had a bunch of listings for this figure, both new and used. Prices were all over the place, so it took a bit of time to compare and find a good deal. I finally found one that was within my budget and seemed like a good seller, so I placed my order.
- First, I gotta say the shipping was faster than I expected. I mean it felt like I just ordered it and bam, it was at my door.
- Opening the box, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. The figure was packed really well, no damage or anything.
- Pulled it out, and man, this thing is detailed. The sculpt, the paint job, it all looks pretty spot on to how Android 17 looks in the show.
He comes with a bunch of accessories, too. Swappable hands, different faces with various expressions. He’s super posable, so I spent a good chunk of time just messing around with different poses. Trying to recreate some scenes from the anime, you know? It’s kinda crazy how many dynamic poses you can get out of this figure.
Overall Feeling
Honestly, I’m pretty stoked with this purchase. It’s a solid figure, looks great on my shelf. If you’re a Dragon Ball fan and you’re thinking about getting into collecting these S.H. Figuarts figures, I’d say go for it. This Android 17 is a good one to start with, for sure.
