Well, hello there, everyone! Today, I’m gonna gab a bit about this ACDSee thingy on the Mac, you know, the one for cutting a whole bunch of pictures at once. Yep, you heard that right, cuttin’ ’em all together! Saves you a whole heap of time, it does.
Now, I ain’t no fancy computer whiz, mind you. I’m just a regular person who likes takin’ pictures. And sometimes, you got a whole mess of ’em that need the same fixin’. Like, you want to cut out the same boring part from all of ’em, or maybe make ’em all the same size. That’s where this batch cutting comes in handy.
First off, you gotta get yourself this ACDSee thing. I ain’t gonna tell you where to get it, you figure that out yourself. Once you got it, fire it up. It looks kinda complicated at first, all them buttons and menus, but don’t you worry none. It ain’t as hard as it looks.
You gotta find your pictures first. They’re probably all stuffed in a folder somewhere on your computer. Click around ’til you find ’em, then drag ’em into ACDSee. Or maybe there’s a button to open ’em, I don’t rightly remember. Just poke around ’til you figure it out.
Okay, so now you got your pictures all lined up. See ’em there? Good. Now, look for somethin’ called Batch Edit or Batch Process or somethin’ like that. It’s like a special tool for doin’ the same thing to lots of pictures at once. It might be in a menu, or maybe it’s a button. Like I said, poke around!
- First thing, you gotta tell it what you wanna do. You wanna cut them pictures, right? So find the Crop tool. It might look like a little square or scissors or somethin’. Click on that.
- Then, you gotta tell it how you wanna cut ’em. You can type in the size you want, or you can drag the corners of a box to show it what to keep. It’s like cuttin’ a picture out of a newspaper, you know? Just draw the box around the part you wanna keep.
- Now this is important, you can save what you did! They call it a preset, I think. It’s like a recipe for cuttin’ pictures. That way, you don’t gotta set it up all over again next time. You just pick your saved recipe and bam! You’re good to go.
Once you got everything set up just the way you like it, you hit the Go button or Start button or whatever it’s called. And then, like magic, ACDSee starts cuttin’ all them pictures for you. It might take a little while if you got a whole lot of ’em, so go get yourself a cup of coffee or somethin’.
And that’s about it! Now you got a whole bunch of pictures, all cut up and lookin’ just the way you want ’em. See? Wasn’t so hard after all. This ACDSee thing, it’s a real time saver, let me tell you. Especially if you got a whole mess of pictures like I always do.
You can do more than just cut pictures with this thing, too. You can change their size, make ’em brighter or darker, even change the colors. It’s got all sorts of tricks up its sleeve. But I ain’t gonna get into all that today. We’re just talkin’ about cuttin’ ’em, remember?
So, if you got a Mac and a bunch of pictures that need cuttin’, give ACDSee a try. It might seem a little scary at first, but even an old lady like me can figure it out. And if I can do it, you can too! You don’t always have to crop pictures one at a time. Doing it all at once, that’s the ticket! That’s the way to go. You save so much time, and time, well that’s something precious.
Important Note: Always, always, always make copies of your pictures before you start messing around with them. Just in case something goes wrong, you know? Better safe than sorry, that’s what I always say. You don’t want to ruin your good pictures.
Now, I gotta go. I got a whole mess of other things to do. But I hope this helped you out a little bit. Remember, don’t be afraid to try things out. And if you get stuck, just ask someone for help. There’s always someone who knows more than you do, that’s for sure. And if you keep playing with the program, you’ll learn more and more each time. Good luck with your picture cutting!
