Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to play this game called “Being a DIK” on my phone for a while now. It’s one of those adult visual novels, you know? I’d heard about it from some buddies, and it sounded like a pretty wild ride. The thing is, I wasn’t sure if there was an official Android version or what. I did a little digging online, but I mostly found stuff about the PC version.
So, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I figured, why not just try to get it working on my phone? I started by downloading the PC version of the game, seasons 1 and 2. It was a pretty big file, but I have decent internet, so it didn’t take too long.
Then came the tricky part. I had to figure out how to actually play this thing on Android. I mean, it’s not like it’s on the Play Store or anything. After a bit of messing around, I found this emulator called JoiPlay, and it looked like it could do the trick. I installed it on my phone, and then I had to play around with the settings for a bit to get it to recognize the game files.
- First, I tried to run the game directly.
- Then, I realized I had to extract the game files first.
- Finally, I pointed JoiPlay to the extracted game directory.
It took a few tries, but I eventually managed to launch the game! It was a bit laggy at first, but I tweaked the settings some more, and it started running pretty smoothly. I was stoked! I could finally dive into this “Being a DIK” world that everyone was talking about.
Playing the Game
The game itself is… well, it’s something. You play as this young dude who’s starting college. He’s from a poor family, and he leaves behind his dad and his summer girlfriend to go to this fancy school, Burgmeister & Royce. Freshman year hits him like a truck, and he gets into all sorts of crazy situations, mostly involving girls, parties, and drama. You have to make choices that affect the story and your relationships with other characters.
I spent hours playing this game, trying different paths and seeing what would happen. I even found a walkthrough online that helped me get all the achievements and collectibles. It’s pretty addictive, to be honest. There are so many different endings and scenes to unlock, I can totally see myself replaying this for a while.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure of getting “Being a DIK” to run on my Android phone. It wasn’t exactly straightforward, but it was definitely worth the effort. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some more “studying” to do… if you catch my drift.
