And because my day wasn’t random enough, I stumbled upon this article about okra. Turns out, it’s packed with vitamins and good for people with kidney problems. But the weirdest part was that it’s also high in iodine, which is apparently good for your thyroid. I’m not making this up!
Then, I read this scary thing about hummus. Some professor said that if you don’t store it properly, you can get food poisoning. I always just leave mine on the counter, so I guess I’ve been lucky so far. I made a mental note to be more careful with my hummus from now on.
