Okay, so let me tell you about this thing I’ve been messing around with – iOS on the Bay. Sounds fancy, right? Well, it kinda is, but it’s also been a bit of a headache, to be honest.
Getting Started
It all started when I heard about these new features Apple’s been cooking up. I heard that they were going to bring some iOS and iPadOS stuff over to the Mac. I was like, “Whoa, that’s cool!” I mean, floating screensavers and widgets you can put anywhere? Sign me up!
So, I dug around and found out that Apple’s been working on this big project, supposedly their “most ambitious” one ever. That got me even more hyped. They’re calling it iOS 18, and it sounds like it’s going to be a game-changer. They’re even throwing in some AI stuff, like an upgraded Siri they’re calling “Apple GPT.” I guess they’re trying to keep up with ChatGPT or something.
The Waiting Game
Of course, it’s not out yet. I heard they’re planning to announce it at that big WWDC thing they do in June. And the new iPhone? That’s not coming until September 2024, I guess. So, I’m stuck waiting like everyone else.
Diving In
But I couldn’t just sit around, right? So, I started tinkering with the developer previews and betas. Let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. One day, everything’s working fine, and the next, it’s crashing every five minutes. But hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
I managed to get those floating screensavers working on my Mac, and it’s pretty neat. And those widgets? They’re cool, but sometimes they just fade into the background, which is kind of annoying. I also played around with some of the new AI features, but they’re still pretty rough around the edges.
The Verdict
So, is iOS on the Bay worth the hype? I don’t know yet. It’s definitely got potential, but it’s still got a long way to go. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what Apple does with it. But one thing’s for sure: it’s going to be interesting.
Oh, and I heard a rumor that they’re building a new headquarters. They started it back in 2014, and it took them four years and five billion dollars to build it. That’s a lot of money for an office building!
- I’m really excited about this iOS 18.
- Widgets can be placed anywhere is a good idea.
- Apple GPT sounds cool, looking forward to it.
- The floating screensaver is awesome!
Anyway, that’s my story about iOS on the Bay. I’ll keep you guys updated as I learn more. Stay tuned!
