OK, I’ve been doing some stuff about internet safety recently, because, you know, it’s June, and apparently, it’s Internet Safety Month. Who knew, right?
So, first off, I started by digging around to see what this whole “Internet Safety Month” thing was about. Turns out, it’s a big deal. A whole month dedicated to making sure folks know how to not get messed up online. A lot of organizations get involved in this, so I started gathering materials.
Then, I thought, “Hey, I should make some graphics about this.” I checked some websites, and found a bunch of free stuff I could use. Vectors, images, you name it. I downloaded a good amount of materials that looked helpful and began to design my own graphics.
- I picked some cool-looking vectors and started messing around with them.
- Made some posters with simple tips. Things like, “Don’t share your password,” “Think before you click,” you know, the usual stuff.
- I also designed some smaller graphics, kind of like those little square images you see on social media. Easier to share that way.
I focused on making things look good and easy to understand. Nothing too complicated. The idea is to catch people’s attention and get them thinking about being safe online. I use bright colors and simple words.
After a few days of working on this, I had a decent collection of graphics. Posters, banners, social media images. I even made a few that are specifically for kids, with cartoon characters and stuff.
The next step was to share them. I uploaded everything to my computer, ready to post them online, and share my work with others. Hopefully, someone will find them useful.
Honestly, it was a bit more work than I expected, but it was worth it. Knowing that I might be helping someone stay safe online, even just a little bit, feels pretty good. And it’s a good way to join the big event.
Lessons Learned
I learned a lot during this process. I found that there are so many resources out there, and there are so many people caring about the online safety. If you dig a little, you can find all sorts of helpful stuff. It’s also super important to keep things simple when you’re trying to teach people about this stuff. No one wants to read a whole book about internet safety, you know?
Anyway, that’s my little project for Internet Safety Month. I hope you like it, I will share my designed graphics soon. If you have any ideas about what else I could do, let me know!
