How do led windows work? Everything you need to know about them!

My grandson, he’s a smart cookie, always talking about these newfangled things. He said I should talk about these LED windows things. He says it’ll help folks find me on that internet thing. Sounds like a load of hogwash to me, but he’s a good boy, so I’ll give it a go.

Now, I ain’t never seen one of these LED windows myself. But from what my grandson says, they’re like regular windows, but they got these little lights in ’em. He calls ’em LEDs. He says they’re real bright and use less of that electric stuff. That’s a good thing, ’cause that electric bill, it’s higher than a cat’s back!

These LED lights, they’re everywhere these days. Used to be, a light was a light. You screw in a bulb, and that was that. Now, they got these LED lights in everything. Flashlights, them Christmas lights, even in them fancy cars. Heard they last a real long time, these LEDs. That’s good, I reckon. Don’t gotta climb up on no chair to change ’em so often.

So, these LED windows, they sound kinda fancy, don’t they? I imagine they make a room real bright. Probably good for folks who like to sew or read. Me, I just like to sit by my regular window and watch the world go by. See the birds, the squirrels, maybe a neighbor walkin’ their dog. Don’t need no fancy lights for that.

But I guess some folks like these new things. My grandson, he says they’re good for the, what’s that word, environment. Don’t use as much of that electric, so that’s good for the planet, he says. I don’t know about all that, but I do know we gotta take care of this old earth. We only got one, you know.

He also said these LED windows can change colors. Can you believe that? Red, blue, green, all sorts of colors. Sounds like a disco to me! I can’t imagine havin’ a window that changes colors all the time. Might give me a headache. But I guess young folks like that kinda thing. They like all that flashing and blinking.

These LEDs, they ain’t got no, what’s that stuff called, mercury? Yeah, mercury. That’s what my grandson said. He says that’s good ’cause mercury is bad stuff. Makes sense, I reckon. Don’t want no poison in your windows. Old light, he says they have lead. Lead is bad too.

• Good for planet, grandson says.

So, if you’re thinkin’ about these LED windows, I say go for it. If it makes you happy, that’s all that matters. Me, I’m happy with my old windows. They let in the sunshine, and that’s all I need. And those LED lights can make things very bright.

But these new things, they do sound interestin’. Maybe one day, I’ll see one of these LED windows for myself. Then I can tell you all about it. But for now, this is all I know. It is about LED technology. I don’t know what to say.

My grandson, he says I gotta say more about these LED windows, somethin’ about how they work. Well, I ain’t no electrician. But he told me these little LEDs, they got some kinda magic in ’em that makes ’em light up. Don’t ask me how it works. It just does. Like them fireflies in the summertime. They just light up. Nature’s little LEDs, I guess you could say.

And he says you can put a whole bunch of these little LEDs together and make a big light. Like in them big screens they got in the city. Or in these LED windows, I suppose. So you can have a whole window that’s lit up. Sounds kinda bright to me, but I guess some folks like that. And that is how LED lights work.
