Okay, so yesterday I was just messing around on the internet, like you do, and I thought, “Why not try to make something go viral?” I mean, I see all these random pictures blowing up online, and I figured, “How hard could it be?” So, I decided to give it a shot and create a so-called “viral internet image.”
First things first, I needed an idea. I spent some time browsing some funny stuff, and thinking about what I could use. I realized that successful viral stuff really understands what’s going on in the world right now. So I started thinking about current trends and what’s hot at the moment.
I tried to make a few different versions, but nothing was really clicking. Then, I came up with something that is a bit silly, but also kind of catchy. I used a high-quality photo because, let’s face it, nobody shares blurry, pixelated garbage. I played around with some editing tools like Canva, trying to make it pop.
- Brainstorming: Spent a good amount of time just throwing ideas at the wall.
- Image Selection: I chose a good quality image that I thought was a little weird but also could be funny to some people.
- Editing: Used Canva to add some text and effects. I’m no designer, but I think I did alright.
- Sharing: I shared on my social media accounts and try to use some popular hashtags.
After I posted it, I started hitting up all my friends, asking them to share it. You know, the usual “like, comment, and share” plea. I even posted it on a few different platforms, trying to get as much exposure as possible. I don’t have a huge following or anything, but I figured every little bit helps.
Honestly, it didn’t exactly explode the way I hoped. I got a few likes and a couple of shares, but nothing crazy. It was more of a slow trickle than a viral sensation. But hey, I learned a few things. Like, it’s not as easy as it looks to make something go viral. And having a good idea is just the first step. You need a bit of luck, and maybe a bigger audience, to really get things going.
I am not giving up, though. I might try again sometime, maybe with a video next time. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll crack the code to this viral thing. Until then, I’ll just keep sharing my random thoughts and creations with the world, one post at a time.
