Okay, here is my sharing about how I got a private server for Clash of Clans on my iOS device.

I’ve been playing Clash of Clans for a while now, and I was always interested in trying out a private server. You know, just to mess around, try new strategies without worrying about resources, and all that good stuff. So, I finally decided to give it a shot. First I did some research on how to get it done.

I found that many videos always talking about you should jailbreak your device first. And I don’t wanna do that. I kept digging, and I found something interesting. It turns out you can actually mess with the DNS settings on your iOS device to connect to a private server. Who knew?

Configure the DNS

First thing I did was head over to my Settings, then Wi-Fi. I tapped on the little “i” next to my network. I scrolled down to Configure DNS. By default, it’s set to Automatic, I switched it to Manual.

Then, the fun part. I removed any existing DNS servers and added the new one for the private server I wanted to use. I saved the changes and went back to the home screen.

I made sure to close the Clash of Clans app completely. I mean, swiped up to get rid of it from the app switcher. Then, I launched the game again.

And boom! I was in the private server. Everything was maxed out, I had unlimited resources, it was insane. I could finally test out all those crazy attack strategies I had been dreaming of.

• Head over to Settings
• Tap Wi-Fi
• Tap the little “i” next to your network
• Scroll down to Configure DNS
• Switch Automatic to Manual

Of course, there are some downsides. It’s not the same as playing on the official servers, you’re not competing with other players in real time, and all that. But for just having fun and experimenting, it’s great.

Anyway, that’s my little adventure with Clash of Clans private servers on iOS. It was easier than I thought it would be, and it definitely added a new dimension to the game for me.

I just play it for a while and it works. Pretty fun, you know. Maybe next time I will share more about other games.
