Okay, so, let me tell you about this whole iOS staffing thing I went through. It was a real journey, I gotta say. I needed to build a team, you know, to work on this app idea I had. And let me tell you, it’s not as easy as it might seem.
Figuring Out What I Needed
First things first, I had to sit down and really think about what I wanted this app to do. What was the big picture? What was I trying to achieve? Once I had that figured out, I started thinking about the kind of people I needed on my team. What skills did they need to have? What kind of experience would be helpful?
- Decide on the app’s main goals.
- Think about the kind of team members you need.
- Write down the skills and experience needed.
Finding the Right People
So, once I knew what I was looking for, I started, you know, looking for them. I reached out to people I knew, put feelers out on job boards, and even went to a few meetups. It was a lot of talking to people, a lot of interviews. I was trying to find folks who not only had the right skills but who also seemed like they’d be a good fit for the team. You know, people who got what I was trying to do and were excited about it.
- Reach out to your network.
- Post on job boards.
- Attend industry meetups.
- Conduct interviews to find skilled people.
Making Decisions
After all those interviews, I had to make some tough calls. There were a lot of great candidates, but I could only pick a few. I ended up going with the people who I felt really understood my vision and who I thought would work well together. You know how it is. Chemistry and so on.
- Review the candidates.
- Choose people who get your vision.
- Consider how well they will work as a team.
Bringing Everyone Together
Once I had my team, the real work began. We had to get everyone on the same page, figure out how we were going to work together, and all that. It was a bit of a learning curve, but we eventually found our groove.
- Onboard the new team members.
- Establish a workflow.
- Adapt and improve as you go.
Looking Back
Looking back, it was definitely a challenging process, but also really rewarding. I learned a ton about building a team, and I ended up with a group of people I’m really proud to work with. It was a lot of work, but seeing this team come together and start bringing my app idea to life, it’s been worth it.
And you know what? Every time we hit a snag or something, I just remembered why we started in the first place. It kept me going, you know? It’s like, this is why I did all that work to find the right people, because now we can figure this out together.
So yeah, that’s my story about iOS staffing. It was a wild ride, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
