Okay, so today I’m gonna talk about getting my Logitech G923 racing wheel to work with Windows 11. It wasn’t as straightforward as I thought it would be, so I figured I’d share my experience in case any of you run into the same issues.
First off, I plugged the G923 into my PC, expecting it to be recognized right away. Nope. Windows 11 didn’t seem to know what to do with it. I checked the Logitech website, and yeah, they say it’s supposed to be compatible. Hmm, okay, time to dig deeper.
Reinstalling G HUB
- So, my first thought was to check the software. I already had the Logitech G HUB installed, but maybe it needed an update or something.
- I went to the Windows Settings, found the “Installed Apps” section, and there it was, Logitech G HUB.
- Clicked on the three dots next to it, chose “edit”, and then the G HUB app opened up.
- There’s an option to “reinstall” the app, so I clicked on that. It did its thing, reinstalled everything.
Trying Other Games and Calibrating
After reinstalling, I tried the wheel on a different game, just to see if it was a game-specific issue. Still nothing. Ugh. Okay, next step. I remembered there’s a way to calibrate controllers in Windows itself.
- I searched for “Game Controller Settings” in the Windows search bar.
- Opened that up, found the G923 in the list, and there was an option to calibrate it.
- Went through the calibration process, following the on-screen instructions.
Checking Drivers and USB Ports
Still no luck. I started to think maybe it was a driver issue. I mean, Windows 11 is pretty new, so maybe the drivers weren’t up to date. But then I remembered, it’s supposed to work out of the box. Whatever, I checked the Logitech website for the latest drivers anyway. Downloaded and installed them, just in case.
Another thing I tried was plugging the wheel into a different USB port. I’ve had issues with USB ports before, so I thought, why not? I made sure it was plugged directly into a USB 2.0 port on my computer, not through a hub or anything.
Finally Got It Working!
Guess what? After all that, the wheel finally started working! I’m not 100% sure which step did the trick, but I think it was a combination of reinstalling G HUB and making sure the drivers were updated. Or maybe the USB port thing helped, who knows. Anyway, it’s working now, and I’m super stoked to finally get some racing in. If you’re having trouble with your G923 on Windows 11, hopefully, my little adventure here can help you out. Good luck, and happy racing!
