Play Arknights Bilibili iOS Version: Tips for Beginners

Okay, so I was trying to get into this game, Arknights, on my iPhone. I’d heard good things, so I figured, why not? I went ahead and downloaded it from the App Store, no problem there. It was a bit of a wait because, you know, these games are never small.

Once it was on my phone, I launched it, and the first thing it did was try to get me to create an account. I went through the usual process, you know, email, password, the whole shebang. Then it started downloading more stuff, a lot more, and I thought this game better be worth it with all this waiting.

How to Reroll

I did a bit of reading online while waiting, and some folks were talking about this thing called “rerolling.” Apparently, it’s a way to start the game with better characters. I’m not usually one for this kind of thing, but I figured I’d give it a shot. Seemed easy enough, they said.

• First Try: Got through the tutorial, which was a drag, and then did my first set of “pulls” – that’s how you get new characters. Got some characters, but nothing that screamed “awesome” to me, based on what I read online.
• Second Try: Deleted the app, reinstalled it, and skipped creating an account this time. Played as a guest. The tutorial again… ugh. Did the pulls. Still nothing great.
• Third Time’s the Charm? Nope. Same process, same result. I was starting to think this rerolling thing wasn’t for me.

I read somewhere any two 6-star is great, and some guides mentioned that a “Archetto” or “Thorns” is good, but I did not get them.

After a few more tries, I finally landed a couple of characters that seemed decent, a “Archetto” and some other one. I decided that was good enough for me. I linked my email to this guest account, so I wouldn’t lose my progress, and finally started playing the game for real.

It was a whole process, I tell you. Not sure if it was worth all the hassle, but I’m in the game now, and it’s pretty fun so far. I watched a video on bilibili, it gives some tips for beginners, and I think that helps.
