Okay, so, today I’m gonna talk about how I messed around with Subway Surfers on my iPhone, specifically how I got a modded version up and running. It all started when I got tired of the same old grind and wanted to spice things up a bit.
First off, I did some digging online to see what my options were. I found out that there’s this whole world of modded APKs and IPAs out there. Apparently, for iOS, I needed an IPA file, which is basically the iOS version of an Android APK. After reading a bunch of forums and articles, I realized that I didn’t even need to jailbreak my phone to install a modified version, which was a huge relief.
So, I found a source for the Subway Surfers mod IPA, which was supposed to give me a bunch of cool stuff like unlimited coins and keys, and all characters unlocked from the start. It was a bit of a gamble, downloading files from the internet, but hey, I was feeling adventurous. I made sure my antivirus stuff was up to date just in case, you know, better safe than sorry.
- Download the IPA. I found a file that claimed to be the latest version of the Subway Surfers mod.
- Install. This was the tricky part. There are some tools that let you install IPA files without jailbreaking, like Sideloadly or AltStore. I went with AltStore because it seemed pretty popular and had a bunch of tutorials online. It took a bit of fiddling to get it set up.
- Trust the app. Once the app was on my phone, I had to go into my iPhone’s settings and “trust” the app developer in the device management section. I guess it’s an Apple security thing.
After jumping through those hoops, I finally launched the game, and boom! It worked! I had mountains of coins, all the characters were unlocked, and I could pretty much do whatever I wanted. It felt great, like I’d cracked the code or something.
Playing the game with all the unlocks was a blast. I could try out all the different characters and boards without having to grind for hours. It was like a whole new game. But I gotta say, after a while, it did get a little less exciting. Part of the fun of the game is earning stuff, you know? So, it’s not something I’d do all the time, but for a bit of a change, it was pretty fun.
All in all, it was a pretty interesting experience. Messing with mods and stuff isn’t something I usually do, but I learned a lot. It’s cool to see what’s possible and how games can be changed. Just be careful if you try it yourself. Make sure you trust the source of the files and understand what you’re doing. Don’t want to end up with a bricked phone or some nasty malware.
Anyways, that’s my story of modding Subway Surfers on iOS. Hope you found it interesting!
