Okay, so the other day I was trying to type up this report, and I needed to use some accented letters. You know, like é or à. Normally, I’d just Google the character and copy-paste it, but that’s a real pain, especially when you need to do it multiple times. It totally breaks your flow, you know?
So, I figured there had to be a better way. I’m using this iClever IC-DK03 keyboard with my Mac, and I was sure there must be some kind of shortcut. I dug around the internet a bit, and guess what? Turns out it’s super simple!
Here’s what I did:
- First, I pressed and held the Option key – it’s the same as the Alt key on other keyboards.
- Then, while still holding Option, I pressed the “e” key.
- After that, I released both keys.
- Finally, I just pressed the letter I wanted to add the accent to. For example, if I wanted an “é,” I’d press “e.”
And boom! There it was, the accented letter right there in my document. No more copying and pasting. It’s such a time-saver! I also tried to hold down the letter key to see the popup menu with different character variations, this is also very convenient!
Honestly, I felt a little silly for not figuring this out sooner. It’s one of those things that seems obvious once you know it. But hey, we all learn something new every day, right? Now I can type those accented letters like a pro. It might seem like a small thing, but it really makes a difference when you’re trying to get work done efficiently. And most importantly, no more copy-pasting! Hope this helps someone else out there!
How to connect this keyboard?
Turn on the keyboard, press Fn + the Bluetooth key (T on the keyboard). I saw the blue light begin to flash, then I turned on the Bluetooth function of my device, found the keyboard name (iClever IC-BK06 Keyboard) on my device’s screen and clicked connect.
