Okay, so I decided it was time to get my hands on the Windows 11 21H2 ISO. You know, just to have it in my toolkit. It’s always good to have these things ready for when you need them. Here’s how the whole thing went down.
First, I needed to actually find the ISO file. This took a bit of digging around on the internet. Found a way to obtain it, and the download started. This wasn’t a small file, so it took a while to complete. While I was waiting, I went ahead and did some other stuff around the house.
Once the download was done, I made sure to double-check the file. You know, just making sure it’s the correct file. Everything looked good, so I proceeded to the next step.
Next, I needed to mount it. But before that, I quickly checked to see if my current system was eligible for an upgrade to Windows 11. I confirmed that the hardware was okay and that I could use an ISO installation.
Now with the ISO file ready, I used the built-in option to mount the ISO file. It appeared just like a regular DVD drive. Pretty neat, huh?
Then, I opened the mounted ISO and saw a bunch of files. I just ran the file.

Follow the On-Screen Instructions
After launching the setup, it was mostly just following the on-screen prompts. There were a few options to choose from, like whether to keep my existing files or do a clean install. I opted to keep my files for this one, just to see how it goes.
The installation process started, and it took a good chunk of time. My computer restarted a couple of times during this. I just let it do its thing.
Finally, after what seemed like forever, the installation finished. I was greeted with the Windows 11 login screen. Typed in my password, and boom, I was in!
Everything seemed to be working fine. All my files were there, and the new Windows 11 interface was up and running. I spent some time exploring the new features and settings. Overall, it was a pretty smooth experience. I’ve got to say, it feels good to have successfully installed the Windows 11 21H2 ISO.
So, yeah, that’s how I got Windows 11 21H2 installed using the ISO file. It’s not that hard, really. Just a bit time-consuming, especially the download and installation parts. But hey, it’s all worth it in the end, right?
